Centrelink New Payment Schedule 2025 – Official Notice Check Here New Date

Centrelink New Payment Schedule 2025 – Official Notice Check Here New Date

We would like to inform all beneficiaries of important changes to reporting and payment schedules due to the upcoming Australia Day public holiday on Monday, 27 January 2025. Please read this notice carefully to understand how these changes may affect your payments and reporting obligations.

Service Centre Closures

All Centrelink service centres and most call centres will be closed on Monday, 27 January 2025, in observance of the Australia Day public holiday. During this time, while physical locations will be unavailable, online services will remain accessible through your Centrelink online account.

In the meantime, the Centrelink app will remain functional, and you can manage services such as credit card payments, loan repayments, bill payments, and mortgage loan management.

Reporting Requirements and Modified Schedules

If you are required to submit regular reports, please note that your reporting dates may be adjusted due to the holiday closure. You can view your updated reporting schedule through your Centrelink online account, which will display the new reporting date for the Australia Day period.

Early Reporting Guidelines

If you are submitting your reports early because of the holiday schedule, be sure to include your anticipated earnings for the entire reporting period. You have up to 14 days to correct any errors or make changes to your report, or you can adjust the information in your next report.

Alternative Reporting Options

If you’re unsure about your employment income or anticipate changes in your circumstances, you can choose to report after your designated reporting period. However, please note that your payment will only be processed once your report is submitted.

Payment Processing During the Holiday Period

For beneficiaries who do not need to submit reports, payments may be processed earlier than usual. These early payments are for the regular payment amount but will be distributed ahead of schedule. We recommend planning your budget to ensure your early payment lasts until your next scheduled payment.

Modified Payment Schedule for Allowances

The following payment schedule changes apply to various allowances, including Austudy, Farm Household Allowance, JobSeeker Payment, Special Benefit, Status Resolution Support Services Payment, and Youth Allowance:

  • Original payment date 23 January 2025 is moved to 22 January 2025
  • Original payment date 24 January 2025 is moved to 23 January 2025
  • Original payment date 27 January 2025 is moved to 24 January 2025

Pension Payment Adjustments

For pension recipients, including Age Pension, Disability Support Pension, Carer Payment, and other family payments, the following modifications apply:

  • Payments due on 27 January 2025 will be processed on 24 January 2025
  • Payments will resume their normal schedule after this adjustment

Online Access and Support

Despite the holiday closure, you will still have access to your Centrelink online account via myGov. This platform allows you to:

  • View upcoming reporting dates
  • Submit income reports
  • Monitor payment schedules
  • Update personal information

If you do not yet have online access, we encourage you to set up a myGov account and link it to Centrelink services to ensure uninterrupted access to essential functions.

Please take note of these modified schedules and adjust your financial planning accordingly. If you need more information or have questions, please check your online account or contact our service centre before the holiday closure.

We appreciate your cooperation in following the modified schedules, which will help ensure the timely processing of all payments during the holiday period. Be sure to maintain accurate records of your income and report any changes in circumstances promptly to avoid payment delays.
